Wilderness Medicine School
At a Glance:
Many of our classes are photographed and used as visual aid for others because of the high quality care many students learn to provide. From medical documentation and scene safety to shelter building and patient transport, the wilderness first responder instructs individuals how to manage a remote emergency from start to finish. High quality instruction and a hands-on learning environment create a positive and engaging learning atmosphere for individuals of all experience levels. Here is a glimpse of what goes on during a Wilderness First Responder.....(All the injuries are fake and are created by the instructors to simulate real injuries and scenarios they may see in the field.)
Mock Rescue:
Approaching an unknown scene is always difficult. Keep yourself safe, and use the knowledge and resources available to you the best you can.
